Swimming

We went to the pool today for the first time! Anderson loved every minute! It only lasted about 5, the water was freezing, we had to get out when his hands, arms, and feet turned purple!

Rice Cereal

We decided to try rice cereal for Anderson this week! He has been very unhappy and fussy, so I decided it was time to try something new, anything to stop the 3 hour scream sessions.... The first time I gave it to him, he was not a fan, but ate it anyways, well I gave him some right before bed in hopes that it will help him sleep better at night. He LOVED it he could not eat enough, I could not get it in his mouth fast enough!

Anderson and his toys...

Well Mike and Bonnie gave Anderson his exersauser, well he is now old enough to play with it and he loves it! He is not sure about all of the toys on there, but he loves to look at them at bat at them. Starting today he was actually hitting them on his own! YEAH!!! He loved the noise they were making!

Tybee Island

Matching toes.... I think so!

I Love the sand in his toes!
All tuckered out!

Fort Stewart

We are now stationed at Fort Stewart in Georgia! We have enjoyed it here, minus me being homesick a lot, but its getting better!
We love how close we are to the Beach! Makes for fun weekends. Too bad that Anderson doesn't really enjoy the wind! We are loving being a family again! Anderson just loves his Dad and it's so fun to watch them together! I love cooking, and cleaning, and being a wife, as crazy as that sounds!

Then there were three.....

Well after having Anderson, we realized it was almost impossible to fit in the "Beetle". There is no way that a car seat, baby, diaper bag, and stroller can fit into our car! So today we purchased our very own grown up car!

Anderson's Photo shoot!

I am lucky enough to have an amazing photographer as a mother! We set up a photo shoot in the hospital. He was only one week old!

The day finally came!

On Monday July 26, I was admitted to Alta View Hospital around 10:00 pm. Since the next day was my due date, and my blood pressure was still high they decided to induce me. I was so ready to be done, so I was ok with this. The game me a pill to help induce my labor. They told me that there was no chance I would progress fast enough for anything to happen till the morning. So I sent my mom home. The goal was to be dilated to a 4 by 8 am, so that he could break my water then! So we all went to bed for the night. Well at 1:30 am the nurse came in and told me she could not give me the next dose of medicine because my contractions were to close. So I got up to use the restroom, and yup my water broke! Trying to be as tough as I could, I told her I did not need me epidural yet. The pains began to get stronger, and stronger. Well a few minutes later the nurse came back into the room and told me that if I wanted my mom there for the epidural that I needed to call her now! She said that within the next 30 minutes, I would need to get it! So I called my mom and before I knew it she was there! As soon as she walked in they came in to give me the epidural, ( This is what I was the most scared about, and to be honest it didn't hurt that bad.) At this point the nurses knew that Stephen was in the army and was not going to be there for the birth. They knew that it was going to be a girls party! So she asked how long we needed to make sure that all of the girls got here in time, well we told her an hour, and she said you need to call them NOW! So my mom got on the phone and called everyone, they all showed up as cute as can be. Even Cynthia with her two different shoes on! But she didn't miss a thing. Well I went from a 2 to an 8 in about 20 minutes! Then I got stuck at a 9.5 for an hour. After waiting for a while, Anderson's heart rate started to drop every time I would have a contraction, it then started to stay down for longer than my contractions would last. So they called Dr. Smith and he came rushing to the hospital! He told me that I could wait one more hour, or I could have a C-section. I asked him which would be healthier for the baby. I didn't want to put Anderson in danger! So we decided on a C-section. At 6:11 he joined us on this earth. He weighed 6 pounds and 14 ounces!
Stephen did not know that I had gone into labor even, well good timing he called 2 hours after I had Anderson and we were able to talk for a few minutes! We are so lucky!
I am thankful for my amazing family who was there to support me! My mom stayed at the hospital with me for 4 days! I could not have done it alone!

Pregnancy

Well I have made it to 35 weeks now!!!! Its so crazy! I thought I would post a few pictures, they were taken at 32 weeks. Things are kinda crazy, I am still living at my parents and due July, 27 2010. Due to a minor set back in Stephen's training in Arizona, he is not scheduled to come home till August, 5 2010. Yup do the math..... there is more than a 90% chance he will not be able to be here for the birth of our son! Kinda a sad day! There will be plenty of pictures and video to pass along the news!
I am feeling alright, just very uncomfortable and ready to pop. Starting to feel sick to my stomach again, and just super tired! To bad I still have 5 weeks left! I am measuring big, and they don't think that Anderson is going to be a small child! I hope that he proves us all wrong! Small would be just fine with me!
Well we are counting down the days....we cant wait to finally be parents and meet little Anderson!

Fort Huachucha

Well Stephen is really enjoing his training in Arizona, as am I. I have been down to visit him twice since he has been there and really hope to go again! The first time I was there, he was not allowed to leave the base. In other words there was not a lot for us to do...... We hung out in the hotel, went to the PX, played games, and ate at the fast food joints on base.
Well I was lucky enough to go again this weekend! We got to leave base, it was so much fun. I got there on Friday and went to pick him up at his bay, we got Nathan as well and had dinner, we all just chatted and had a really good time. Then on Saturday morning we went to Tucson, we ate at the Olive Garden our favorite place, and went to the mall to just window shop and get out. I have never seen a bigger mall! I had to stop and rest a few times........My feet were swelling and I could not handle any more of Stephen's quick comebacks! Then we went to a steakhouse for dinner! I cant tell you how fun it is to sit and chat with him! He has down a lot of growing in the last few months and I really enjoy the person he is becoming! Sunday we decided to drive down to Tombstone, Az, it was a really cool city, we went in and out of all the little shops. We went and watched a comedy gun fight. Then had lunch at a saloon! It was a lot of fun! Sunday night we had dinner with Nathan, and then it was time to say our goodbyes! We hate saying them, and can't wait till he graduates in June and we wont have to say them again for a while!
All in all it was an amazing trip and I cant wait to go back!

Bills...

While we have been not living in the same state, we decided to take advantage of paying off some of our bills! Most of you know that my dad is an accountant, so on payday's I give my dad a call and he helps me decide what to pay, and how to to pay to it! It has been fantastic!!!! So far we have paid off my wedding ring (finally), Dental bill ( those of you that know me know how much that could have been), and also my CAR!!!! That was the biggest accomplishment! Now were working on a few small bills! I am so excited. Thanks dad for all of your help I could not do it alone!!!!!

AIT Training

Well As you all know Stephen graduated from basic training, February 5 2010. The next morning he was shipped to Fort Huachuca, in Sierra Vista Arizona. He is loving it there. He was allowed to keep his phone and laptop from the start. Which means I am loving it as well, I am able to talk to him everyday, and on weekends we even skype!
He started his classes the first week there and is doing fantastic at them. He has gotten 100% on both of the tests he has taken. On the first test there were about 8 people to get 100% and on the second there were about 16 to get 100% and not all the people that got 100% on the first test also got it on the second test! Which means there are only about 5 or 6 people that did what he did! His goal is to graduate in the top 10% of his class! So I wish him luck!!

Its a boy

The Monday before Stephen's basic training graduation, I decided to go to Fetal Photo and get an ultrasound, so that when I went to see Steve I could tell him if we were having a boy or a girl! Well we were positive that it was a girl! WRONG..... We are having a boy!!!! Stephen and I are so excited. He is due July 27 2010. During the ultrasound he never stopped moving! Kicking....jumping...pushing off of my tummy! I think we have another Oakley on our hands! We cant wait and hope that July gets here very fast!!

Well on Wednesday, my Mom, Bonnie, and Myself jumped on an airplane to South Carolina.that evening I hung out with some of the army wivevs. We had such a fun time just chatting and talking about our soldiers!
Early Thursday morning the fun began....we got up and got ready! We headed over to Fort Jackson and waited for 2 hours in the cold for family day to begin! When I say cold.....I mean I have never been so cold in my life! It finally started and all of the soldiers ran out of the woods, it was so cool! I got a little teary eyed! We rushed to the field to see Stephen it was so fun! The rest of the day, we hung out on base and found things to keep us busy! Such as shopping for baby clothes!!
Friday morning was graduation..... It was raining so hard so they moved it inside! Well you would not have known after looking at my mom and me you would have thought we played in the rain! We even had umbrellas!!! Well they had the graduation and then we got to hang with our soldiers all day long! we could even leave base this time! It was such a fun and amazing experience!

We are gonna have a baby!!!!

I was not feeling great a few weeks ago and decided it was time to take a test. So I did and it came back positive..... well wanting to be a mom for sooooo long I didn't believe the test. So I took a total of 4, after 4 I realized it had to be true! Stephen was still in Basic Training at this time so I was trying to think of a good way to tell him! He does not get to call much, so it was going to be through a letter! Well it was my lucky day.....he called that afternoon so I told him he was going to be a dad! He was so excited we forgot the reason that he was calling for! oh well this news was much better!!
So today I am 11 weeks along and feeling it!!!! I try not to complain about being sick to much! Cause this has been my dream for a long time! We are due July, 27 2010!
My mom and I have been having so much fun making jammies, and buying baby clothes....we just wish we knew what we were having, just 9 more weeks till then. I hope I can wait! I am going crazy! A lot of people think its a girl....and we hope they are right!
